Galatians Chp 6 Vs. 1-18
5637. Vs. 1 If a man be _______________ in a ______________ , you who are spiritual, ____________ such a one—in the spirit of meekness,
Considering thy self—lest you also be _______________.
5638. Vs. 2 ____________ (help carry) one another’s _________________, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
5639. Vs. 3 If a man think himself to be something,—when he is nothing, he _________________ (fools, lies to ) himself. (He thinks he is more important, better, smarter, etc.—- than he really is.)
5640. Vs. 4 Let every man prove his own ___________.
And then he shall have rejoicing in himself alone—and not in another. (Every man should do his own work, then he can be proud of himself and his work.)
5641. Vs. 5 Every man shall bear his own ____________.
(This vs. seems to say the opposite of Vs. 2.
What I think Paul means is—-every one is responsible to carry his own work and burdens and troubles—he is to be a responsible person.
But if he needs help—others should offer help.)
5642. Vs. 6 (In the King James Version this vs. is difficult to understand. In other versions —it means the people who teach the word of God —–should be paid by the people who are hearing and learning.
5643. Vs. 7 Be not deceived (fooled, tricked)—God is not
_________________ (made fun of, disrespected)—-for whatever a man ___________ (plants)—that shall he also
__________ (harvest).
(Meaning—-what ever choices you make—what ever you do—-has consequences (things that happen because of what you did.
If you do something wrong or foolish—you will have to suffer or live with what happens to you because of it.)
5644. Vs. 8 If a person sows to the f____________, —-he will reap corruption. If he sows to the s______________—-he will reap life everlasting.
Corruption—-death, something rotten–something dishonest or evil.
A person who lives his life for what brings his “flesh” or body’s desire pleasure——and that is all he thinks about—-he will end up without God and not go to heaven.
A person who lives his life thinking about “spiritual” things and pleasing God—-will go to heaven.
This verse also means—if you are dishonest with people—in the end—people will see what you did—and you will pay for it.
If you are mean and do mean things to people—people will learn about it —and they will not be friends or speak with you.
If you are kind, and friendly,—people will remember and be friendly and kind to you.
What ever you “sow”—-plant, do,—-in the future—those things will come back to you—good or bad—depending on how you acted.
5645. Vs. 9 Paul said: Let us not be weary (tired) in doing well or in doing good. In “time”—in good season—we will reap good things, if we do not f____________ (give up).
5646. Vs. 10 As we have opportunity (able—or “openings” to do good—) let us do good to all ____________, especially to those who are of the household of f_____________.
5647. Vs. 11 Paul talks about how large the ______________ are of his writing—-it seems Paul’s eyes are bad and when he writes–he makes large letters so he can see them.
(Paul’s friends usually wrote Paul’s letters for him—-as Paul told them what to write.)
Vs. 12 Paul is talking about the preachers that have been saying that to have salvation—-the men had to be circumcised.
They did this because they did not want to be criticized by others for preaching that a person could have salvation by faith only in Christ.
Vs. 13 Those who are circumcised do not keep all the law,—- but they preach that you must be circumcised —and follow that law—-they seem to glory in your flesh.
Vs. 14 Paul said: May God forbid (not allow) me to glory in anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,—– the world is crucified (dead) unto me, and I (am dead) unto the world.
5648. Vs. 15 In Christ—c___________________ is nothing (of no importance)—
and u____________________ is nothing
—–we are new c_________________ in Christ.
5649. Vs. 16 As many as walk—according to this rule—-may p________ be on them, and m_____________, —and be upon the Israel of God.
5650. Vs. 17 From now on—-let no man trouble me: for I bear (carry, have) in my b__________ the marks of the Lord Jesus. (Paul was beaten many times and has scars.)
5651. Vs. 18 Brothers, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your s______________. Amen.
