Galatians Chp 4   Vs. 1-19

5604. Vs. 1 The heir—-as long as he is a c___________—-is no different than a s__________________—-even though he is really
“l____________ of all”.

5605. Vs. 2 He is under the authority of ________________ and
______________________ until his father’s death.

5606. Vs. 3 We were like a child—-we were in b_______________to the elements (customs, ways) of this world.

5607. Vs, 4 But in God’s time—-He sent his ____________, made of a w___________________, made under the l___________.

5608. Vs. 5 (The reason?) To _________________ those who were under the _______________. So that we could be a________________ as sons.

5609. Vs. 6 Because we are “sons” now—-God has sent the Spirit of his ___________ into your heart. We say, “Abba, Father.”
(The word Abba—is the Hebrew word for Father.)

5610. Vs, 7 That means we are no longer a s_________________, but we are s___________. If we are s_______________, then we are h______________ of God through Christ.

5611. Vs 8-9 When you did not know God—-you worshipped and did serve unto those who were not “gods”.

But now—–that you know God—-and are known of God—-why do you turn back to those “gods” ? Do you want to be in b______________ again?

Vs. 10 You are careful to mark holy days, special feasts days, etc.—-trying to find favor with God by doing that.

Vs. 11 I, Paul, am afraid for you. I am afraid that I have given my time and teaching for nothing.

Vs. 12 I am free of being “bound” or feeling I must do those things. I wish that you were free of doing those things.

(Our relationship with Christ—-is not about “doing certain things” on certain days, or doing a certain ceremony on a certain day.)

Vs. 13-15 Paul tells how when he first came to visit them—that he was not well. They were very kind to him and took care of him.

Vs. 15 Paul says that it was his eyes that he was having problems with.

During that time, Paul felt their love and friendship.

Vs. 16 Paul asked them—how is it that now I am your “enemy” ?
(Paul felt that now—they did not trust him.)

Vs. 17 Those false teachers—that you are listening to—-are trying to get you to turn against me—-so that you will give more attention to them.

5612. Vs, 19 Paul said, “I feel like I am going through “labor pains” for you again.

These feelings for you will continue until “C___________ ________ ________________ _______ _________.”

(That sentence is an important one. That is the goal that every Christian tries for. That Christ be formed in us.

That we learn how to be like Christ. That we learn to love, forgive, control anger, be generous, etc.—-like Christ—so that when others know us and see how we live—-they see Christ in us.)
