I Corinthians        Chp 15 Vs 27-44

5400. In verses 25, 26 We read—-”For he (Christ) must reign—until he has put all enemies under his feet.   The last enemy is _____________.

Vs. 27 For he has put all things under his feet.
(under his feet—means under his authority)

(In the King James Version—this next sentence is not so clear what it means. So, I will use the New Living Translation—
”When we say that Christ has all authority over all things, it does not mean he has authority over God the Father—because The Father gave Christ the authority.”

God the Father begat– “to cause something to be” —Jesus. Jesus is God‘s only ”begotten son”.

Jesus is of the same essence (quality, nature, substance) as God the Father.

Yet Jesus came under the authority of the Father.

The Holy Spirit is of the same essence as the Father and Jesus.

The Bible says that the Holy Spirit never accepts glory unto himself, but always has the glory go to the Father.

John 16:14 Jesus is speaking of the Holy Spirit. “He shall glorify me.“

Vs. 13 “ he shall not speak of himself—-but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak.”

The Holy Spirit is under the authority of God the Father.

Vs. 28 When all things are subdued (brought under his authority)—-then —shall the Son— also himself—-be subject unto him (God)—(God the Father, who put all things under him (Jesus)—-so that God may be all in all.

5401. Vs. 29 Why would people be baptized for the dead?
If the dead do not _______________?

(Some people must have been doing this.
Yet, no where in the Bible does it say to be baptized for someone who has died.
Baptism is for new believers as a testimony that they now believe in Jesus and will follow his teachings.
We are not to be baptized for the dead.)

(Paul saw what some of them were doing—-and yet they were saying that there was no resurrection of the dead.
So why get baptized for the dead?)

Vs. 30 Why do we (meaning Paul and others who preach) put our selves in danger every hour?

Vs. 31 Paul said, “I face death every day.”

Vs. 32 If the dead do not rise up—-why do I face those dangerous evil men of Ephesus?

I should take up the saying “Let us eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die.”

Vs. 33 Be not deceived (fooled–lied to).
Evil communications (evil talk) corrupt (make bad, destroys) good manners.

5402. Vs. 34 Awake to ____________________ ! And ________ not.

5403. For some do not have the k________________ of God.

5404. Vs. 35 Some say—-”How are the ____________ raised up?

5405. And with what ____________ do they have?

5406. Vs. 36 When you sow (plant) a seed—it dies in the ground. Then it is “q_______________”—starts to grow.

Vs. 37 When you plant a seed—that seed is not what you see later—it is changed into a plant. Maybe wheat, or some other grain.

Vs. 38 God gives each plant a seed shape of its own kind.

Vs. 39 All flesh is not the same. There are men, and animals, and birds.

Vs. 40 There are heavenly beings of different kinds.

Vs. 41 There is the sun, the moon, and stars —-all are different.

Vs. 42. Our earthly body — is “sown” — buried—-in corruption—(weak, sick, broken) —-but it will be raised in “incorruption”—whole, new, perfect.

5407. Vs. 43 Our earthly body—is “sown” —buried—in d_______________—-but it will be raised in g__________.

5408. 4508. It is buried in w________________, but it will be raised in ________________.

5409. Vs. 44 It is buried in a n_____________ body—earthy body—but it will be raised a _______________ body.
