I Corinthians    Chp 15 Vs 1-26

5384. Paul is telling the believers at Corinth to remember what he has been teaching them.

Among the believers—has been much talk that the “resurrection”——coming alive after being dead—– is not true.

Vs. 3 First, I told you that C______________ died for our

5385. Vs. 4 He was ___________________ and __________ again on the _____________ day according to the scriptures.

5386. Vs. 5 He (Jesus) was seen of C _____________ (Peter)
—-then of the _______________ (disciples).

5387. Vs. 6 After that , he was seen of above (more than)
______________ brethren (brothers, believers) at once;

Of whom a greater part (most of them) remain until this
p__________________ time. (Meaning the time that Paul is writing this letter.)
But some have fallen _____________.(Meaning have died.)

5388. Vs. 7 After that—-he was seen of J_____________,
then all of the ___________________.

5389. Vs. 8 And last of all, he was seen of ___________also.
As one born out of time.
(Paul is talking about the time he was on the road going to Damascus. When Jesus spoke to him from a bright light.)

(After Jesus came alive again from the dead—-he was here on earth for 40 days (Acts 1:3).
All of these people saw Jesus and heard him speaking. After the 40 days, he rose up into heaven.)

5390. Vs. 9 Paul said he was the least (less important) apostle because of what he had done. What does he say he had done?

He said, God’s grace was not bestowed (given) to me in vain
(for nothing) because he had labored (worked for the Lord)
more than all the others.

If Christ rose (rise up) from the dead —–how can you say that there is no _______________________.

5393. Vs. 13 If there is no __________________________ then Christ did not rise up.

5394. Vs. 14 If Christ is not rise up—-then our preaching was empty (in vain, of no use) —-and your faith is empty—of no use.

Vs. 15 Then we must be false witnesses—-because we have said that God did raise up Christ.

If God did not raise up Christ—-then the dead will not rise.

Vs. 16 If the dead do not rise, then Christ did not rise.

Vs. 17, 18 If Christ did not rise, your faith in Christ is in vain—of no use—-you are still in your sin. ( and you will have to pay your own death punishment.)

(If what you say is true—-then all those who believed in Christ to forgive them so they can go to heaven—it won’t happen—they will all die eternally in hell.)

Vs. 19 If our faith and hope in Christ is for this life on earth only—–then we are in great sorrow—-for we have no hope for eternity.

Vs. 20 But—Christ is ______________ from the dead.
And he was the “first fruit” —-first one—to rise from the dead.

(Meaning the first one to rise from the dead after Jesus died for sin.)

5395. Vs. 21 D___________________ came because of what one man did.
And because of what one man did—-there is a r_____________________________.

5396. Vs. 22 In __________________ all have sinned.
In ____________________ all will be made alive.

5397. Vs. 23 Christ was the first one to rise up, after that all who belong to _______________________ will rise at his coming.

5398. Vs. 24 Then comes the __________.

He (Jesus) will deliver to the Father the “kingdom”—all who have believed in Jesus. Jesus will have put down all his enemies —-rulers, any other authority, or powers.

5399. Vs. 25 He will reign as king—until he has put down all his enemies “under his feet”.

Vs. 26 The last “enemy” is d________________.

(Which Christ conquered (defeated) by rising from the dead)
