Romans Chapter 15 Verses 21-33
(My deciding to write Bible questions for the book of Romans—has been a difficult one. What Paul talks about, and the report of his travels—is not easy for questions.)
Verse 21 Paul is talking about a verse in scripture that said–
They shall see—a person that was not spoken about.
They that have not heard—will understand.
Paul is talking about the Gentiles. The Gentiles did not know the Jewish scriptures. They did not worship God in heaven. Most of them worshipped idols. They did not know about Jesus.
God called Paul—to go to the Gentile people and preach to them about Jesus.
Verse 22 Because Paul has been preaching in these different places—he did not have time to come to Rome to see the Christians believers there.
Verse 23 But now—Paul feels he can come see them.
5120. Verse 24 Paul plans to go to S___________. Then come to Rome.
5121. Verse 25 But first, before all that—-Paul has to go to J____________________.
5122. Verse 26 Believers in M____________________ and in A__________________ gave money for the believers in Jerusalem —who were having a hard time. Paul was to take the offering of money to them.
The Jewish leaders were making it hard for the followers of Jesus.
Verse 27 The Gentiles feel they owe the Jewish believers—- to help them. Because the gospel of Jesus and the news of forgiveness and salvation came from the Jews.
5123. Verse 28 Paul said–that when he finished taking the money to Jerusalem, I will come to S________________.
5124. Verse 29 When I come to you—I will come in the full b__________________ of Christ.
5125. Verse 30 I ask you—for the Lord’s sake—-and for the l_________ of the s_______________—-that you join together—with me—in your p___________________ to God for me.
5126. Verse 31 I need protection from the men in J________________ who do not believe.
(Remember, the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem were always trying to put Paul in prison or kill him—because he preached about Jesus being God’s son.)
Paul also wanted them to pray that the believers in Jerusalem would be willing to accept the offering he was bringing to them.
5127. Verse 32 Paul said—So that I may come to you with j___________ and in God’s will and be r_________________ (encouraged).
5128. Verse 33 Now the God of _____________ be with you all. Amen.
