Acts Chapter 22 Vs. 1-16
Some Jewish men were blaming Paul—saying that he brought a Gentile man into the Jewish temple.
Paul had not, but the Jewish men supposed that he did.
They began yelling and telling a crowd of people that Paul was making trouble. The people became upset. Finally, the Roman soldiers heard it. They took Paul away from the crowd.
The soldiers took him to the building where the soldiers stayed.
The people followed–still yelling.
Paul asked the soldiers if he could speak to the people.
Paul began to speak to them in the Hebrew language.

Zealous means tries very hard to something—and do it with much feeling and passion. Paul had always tried to please God.
As a Jew, Paul tried to make everyone live by the Jewish law.
When some of the Jewish people began to follow Jesus and believe in Jesus as God—-Paul thought that was wrong.
When Paul saw that more and more Jewish people were becoming followers of Jesus—-he asked the Jewish leaders for permission to
put them in jail, or to have them beaten,— some died.

(The last time Paul knew about Jesus—Jesus was on earth. Paul had heard about how Jesus came alive from the dead, and that many people had seen Jesus alive.
From what we read in the Bible, it does not seem that Paul was part of any group who saw him.
Paul would have heard about Jesus going up into heaven.
Paul probably did not believe it.
Now, here is a voice from heaven saying he is Jesus.
Imagine what Paul is thinking. Jesus really is in heaven and talking to him.
Paul is going to have to change his thinking about who Jesus is.)

4566. Verse 16 He told Paul to go and be b__________________.
To wash away his ____________________. And to call on the name of the __________________.
(Paul had been such a true Jew—obeying all the laws—I imagine that Paul did not think of himself as a sinner.
So, that was new thinking for Paul.
Jesus said in John 3:36 “He that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath (anger) of God abideth (is on) him.”
In Revelation 21:8 It says the “unbelieving” will go into the lake of fire.
Paul had not believed in Jesus. Paul need to repent of his unbelief and ask for forgiveness and tell Jesus that he now believed.)
