Acts Chapter 19 Vs. 13-18

Paul is at Ephesus teaching.

4469. Vs. 13 A group of Jews, e_________________—meaning people who say they can make evil spirits go out of people—-were in town.

4470. There was a man named, S_________ a Jewish man, and a chief priest——-and his _____________(how many) sons.

4471. They began to pray over people who had _________ spirits. They prayed—-We command you by ____________ whom ___________preaches about—to come out of these people.

4472. Vs. 15 The evil spirit in the person said, “___________, I know, and ______________ I know, but who are you?”

4473. Vs. 16 The evil spirit in the man do to the man praying over him?

(I don’t know if “naked” means no clothes at all —-or if it means he left with just underwear—-but he was not fully dressed.)

(This is a lesson for us. As Christians, we have the power of the Holy Spirit in us. We can pray for evil spirits to leave people.

However—this is a serious thing. Evil spirits are powerful
We need to be in much prayer. We need not to have any sin in our life.

Do not try to make an evil spirit leave unless you have prayed and know that that is what you should do.

Some spirits are very strong. This means a person must “fast”—- (go without eating and pray) for a time —-before you try to make that evil spirit leave a person.

Casting out evil spirits is not to be taken lightly.)

4475. Vs. 17 All that happened —to that man —-was known to all the J__________in the area, even the _______________(Gentiles) heard about it.

4476. Vs. 17 They all became afraid. The name of Jesus was ________________________and lifted up.

4477. Vs. 18 Many believed. The c_________________their sins. They began to do what was right and changed their ways.
