Think about it. They were praying that God would save Peter from being killed —and from prison—-but when God answers their prayers—they do not believe it.

That is the way we are sometimes.

4228. Verse 16, 17 Peter was still knocking on the door. The people opened the door–saw Peter–and were so surprised.

Peter told them all that had happened. He told them to tell the other disciples about it.

He said, Tell James. This was not the disciple, James, that had been killed,— but this James was the brother of Jesus

Jesus’ brothers did not believe that Jesus was God’s Son. Not until after Jesus came back to life from the dead, and went up into the clouds as people watched.

Then James and Jude, —Jesus’ brothers became believers.

We do not know if the other brothers, or the sisters— became believers—the Bible does not say.
