Also—They thought that if Jesus declared himself King of the Jews —-the Roman king would have a war with the Jewish people.)

Said that it would be better if one man should die and the people be saved, than the whole nation of Jews die.
In saying this, he was saying a prophecy—-that Jesus would die for the nation.
In truth, that is what Jesus did. But it was for a spiritual reason that Jesus died for the people. It was why he came to earth—-to die for all people.
