________________________________________________________________________

1074. How did they get the man in to see Jesus? ________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________

1075. What did Jesus say to the man that made the church leaders so angry? Vs. 2

________________________________________________________________

1076. Vs. 6 Why did Jesus say this? ____________________________________

_____________________________________________________________________

1077. Which is harder for God to do forgive sin or heal? ____________________

_________________ God can do one thing just as easy as another. Only God can heal and only God can forgive.

(Some times, Satan has done things that make it look like a person has been healed. But they truly have not been. People who have seen witchcraft and shamans work have sometimes said that a person was healed by magic. But in the end they were not healed., though for awhile it may have looked like it.)

(Another reason I tell you this is because in the last days the religious prophet who works with the AntiChrist will do “miracles” by the power of Satan. Satan has always copied the things that God does. Things that look like miracles need to be looked at carefully.)

When “miracles” happen, always look at how and who the person worships. If you see any magic, witchcraft, occult, ——-things that are not God or according to God‘s word——be careful.

1078. Vs. (9-13 Who does Jesus call to be a disciple? ___________________

1079. What does this man do for a living? ____________________________ (Tax collectors were not liked by the Jews because they collected tax money from the Jews to pay the Romans. The Romans had taken over the Jews country. So the Jews hated them for doing that. And they hated that they had to give the Romans tax money.

So when a Jew worked for the Romans that was frowned on and the men who collected the taxes often were not honest. They told the Jews that they owed more than the price then the collector kept the extra himself.)

1080. Matthew had a supper at his house and had Jesus come and some of Matthew’s friends. The Jewish leaders said that Jesus —-this holy person—was eating with sinners.

They did not think that was right. But Jesus said to them, “ Should a doctor (physician) be with people who are well or with people who are _____________.”

1081. Jesus told the Jewish leaders that they needed to learn how to have m_________________. The Jewish leaders were careful to put on a show of being holy, but they were mean-hearted and critical of others.

1082. The Jewish leaders criticized Jesus because he and his disciples did not fast (go without eating).

Jesus said that he was like a bridegroom. Did people fast when the bridegroom was with them? Then Jesus compared what he was teaching to putting new wine in _________________________________. Or putting new wine into _______________

____________________________________________.

The Old Testament law was about obeying or punishment. Jesus came and gave people grace and forgiveness. If they do not accept the forgiveness or do not ask for forgiveness then they will be punished.

But no one needs to be punished for his sin. Jesus was offering forgiveness for the sin.

But if a person chooses to keep the sin and not have forgiveness then they will have punishment.

1083. Vs. 18,19 What happens here? ___________________________________

_____________________________________________________________________

1084. Vs. 20-22 As Jesus was going to see about the daughter—-what happened?

_____________________________________________________________________

_____________________________________________________________________

1085. When Jesus came to where the young girl was, all the people were crying. Jesus told them that the girl was not dead. The people ________________________. Jesus was seeing the future—–the next few minutes and what he was going to do. What happened? _____________________________________________________________

_______________________________________________________________________

1086. Vs. 28 Jesus said to the blind men “Do you _______________________ that that I am able to do this?” And they said, “Yes”. Then Jesus said, “ According to your

_______________________ be it unto you.”

1087. Jesus healed all that came to him. He cast out evil spirits (demons).

Vs. 34 The Jewish leaders said that Jesus could cast out evil spirits by the power of the Prince of Devils (Satan). See chp. 12:24-29 Jesus answered this again.

If Satan is throwing out his own demons he is working against himself. Who works against himself? What would be the point? If you destroy yourself that does not make sense. Jesus was telling the leaders that their reasoning was crazy.

Vs. 36 Jesus saw the people as sheep having no _____________________ to lead them. He told the disciples that they should pray that God would send workers to help the people. The disciples will become the leaders when Jesus goes back into heaven.

But they will need more than just those 12—–they will need more people to tell others.
