2107. The Jewish church leaders asked Jesus why his disciples did not

They said that Jesus was not following the church rules.
(They were not talking about washing hands to be clean from dirt. The Jewish people had a special way of washing their hands—-like a kind of ceremony. It was a religious thing not just to make their hands clean.)
2108. Jesus asked them why they did not follow the church rules about other things.
The 10 Commandments say to: “_________________________ your father and your mother.”
2109. Vs. 5 But you say you do not need to take care of your parents if you give your money____________________________________________________________.
2110. Jesus said you people honor me with your ________________ but your
_________________________ is far from me. Vs. 8, Vs 9 They teach things that they say are the doctrines/truth of God, but they are just the ideas of men.
God never said you had to wash your hands in a certain way before you ate. Now days we understand about germs so we wash our hands to get rid of germs.
2111. Vs. 10, 11 Jesus said you are not defiles/made dirty/sinful by what you eat and put in your stomach but what come out of your ______________________ or what you do that shows if your are dirty/sinful.
2112. Vs.12 The disciples said, You insulted the Jewish leaders. Jesus said, Every plant that is not planted by_________________________________ will be pulled up.
So ignore them —-don’t worry about them. (In other words the Jewish leaders are like “plants”. But if they do not belong to God, they will be pulled out.
Many of the Jewish leaders like to think they were very holy. But they were full of pride. And they did many things that were not right but they hid it by acting so holy.
2113. Vs. 14 Jesus said they are like ___________________ men who lead blind people. They will both fall in a ditch. (They will both go wrong.)
2114. Vs. 16-20 Peter asked Jesus to explain more about how things that go into you do not defile you or make you dirty/or sinful. So Jesus explained that what you put in your mouth go to your ______________________ and then out of your body. But the things you say and do those are the things that come from your heart and spirit. If bad things come out of your mouth or in what you do you are defiled/sinful/dirty. Did Jesus answer her right away? ___________ Did she give up and go away?
____________ Jesus told her that he did not come to the Gentiles, but he came to the Jews. (The Jews called the Gentiles, “dogs” ) Jesus knew what people said about the Gentiles. He did not feel this way about them. But he said something to the woman to test her. Jesus said, “It is not right to take bread that was for the Jews and give it to the Gentiles/dogs.” The woman was not discouraged.
