Colossians Chp. 1 Vs. 22 and Chp. 2 Vs. 1-7
Paul continues to explain things to the believers:
5822. Verse 22 Jesus —through his death—-has made those who believe in him to be h________ and without blame —-and they will not need to be corrected or reproved.
5823. Verse 23 If you continue in the faith and you become “g________________ and s______________” —meaning: you learn the scriptures well and are determined to obey the teachings of Jesus—–and do not turn away from what the gospel (Bible) teaches—–because that is where our hope for heaven is.
You have heard it preached.
I, Paul, am a minister of the gospel.
5824. Verse 24. I am s________________ (for preaching the gospel) but I am happy to suffer for doing it. Those things that happened to me are behind me now.
5825. Verse 25 I am a m_________________ according to what God has given to me—-to fulfill the word of God.
5826. Verse 26. The “m______________”—-(that God wanted the Gentiles to learn of Him and come to salvation also)—–it has been hidden (from the Jews) but now it is open and shown to his saints (believers).
5827. Verse 27 So that God would make known to you (G_____________)
the riches of his glory.
5828. Verse 28 To whom we preach—-warning and teaching—so that every man can be made p______________ in Christ Jesus.
5829. Verse 29 This is labor/work—trying to do His work—–He works in me in a mighty way.
Chapter 2 Vs. 1-7
5830. Vs. 1 I want you to know that I have had many thoughts of you —-and the believers in Laodicea—-for you and they —–have not seen my f____________ in the flesh.
5831. Verse 2 So that their h____________ might be comforted—–for they are knit (joined) together in l__________.
5832. Verse 3 (The Father and Christ) in whom all the t_______________ of w________________ are hidden.
5833. Vs. 4,5 I say this—-I do not want you to be fooled by those who would deceive you with fancy words. Even though I am not with you in body—–I am with you in spirit. I am happy for you and for your stedfastness/faithfulness in your faith.
5834. Vs. 6 You have received the L________ J___________ the Lord—so w_________ in him.
5835. Vs.7 Be r________________ (grounded—firm) in him. Be established (firm) in the f___________——as you have been taught.
