John Chp. 1     Vs.43-51

Verse 43 The next day—Jesus went into Galilee. He found a man named ____________________. He said to him, “________________ _________.”

(That meant that Jesus was going to be like a teacher and the men following him would be like “students”—learning what the “teacher” said to them. This was a common practice in that day.

Just like people were following John the Baptist and came to hear him preach.)

Verse 44 Philip was from the same city as _________________ and ___________________.

Verse 45 Philip found a man he knew—his name was
____________________. Philip said to him—”We have found a man of whom Moses wrote about in the law and prophets.”

“This man is _______________ of ___________________. Come and see.”

Verse 46 When Nathanael heard that Jesus was from N_________________—Nathanael —”Can any good come out of Nazareth ?” (Meaning it was a very small village of no importance. How could someone important come from there?)

Verse 47 When Jesus saw N__________________ coming, he said “Here is a man is has not guile—meaning he is honest—does not deceive.”
Verse 48 Nathanael asked Jesus, “How could you know me?”
Jesus said—”Before Philip called you—I saw you —doing what?
