John Chp. 1 Vs.29-42
The next day—John saw Jesus coming. John said: “Behold, the
__________ ______ _______ which ________________
_____________________________________________________.
Vs. 31 John said, “I knew him not—but (I) knew he would be manifest (shown) to Israel.
John did not know Jesus personally. He knew about him. His mother probably told him about Mary and Jesus birth. But he did not know Jesus —-probably never saw him.
John’s parents lived in a different town from Mary and Joseph.
John went on to say—”I am baptizing with water.”
(John did not baptize the people until they had repented of their sins. John preached to them about their sins. When they repented——then he would baptize them.)
Repent—means more than feeling guilty or sorry for your sins. Repent means to “turn and go a different way”.
Repent means to show a determination to do differently.

Vs. 32 John said he saw—-the _________________ descend (come down) from ________________ like a ______________ and it abode (stayed) on him (Jesus).
Vs. 33 The One who sent John to baptize—meaning God the Father—-told John—-that when he saw the _______________ descending and remaining on this person—-that would be the person who would baptize people with the H_________ S____________.
Turn in your Bible to Matthew 3:16,17
Here in these verses it shows that God is a Trinity—3 in 1.
Jesus is coming out of the water, a dove representing the Holy Spirit is upon him, and a voice from heaven—-says—”This is my beloved Son.”
Three separate “beings”—showing they are God.
If someone asks or argues—about God being –3 parts or persons—here is aa verse to show them.
Vs. 34 John said, I saw (this happen)—-I “bare record”—testify—that this is the S_____ of G______.
(Imagine—saying to a group of people—-this man is the Son of God. What do you think the people thought of that?)
(Did Jesus look any different than any other man?)

Vs. 35 The next day—-John and two of John’s disciples were with him. John saw Jesus and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.”
John’s two disciples followed after Jesus. Jesus saw them following him and asked them, “Who are you looking for?”
They called Jesus “Rabbi”—meaning “teacher”—and asked where he was staying. This showed that these two disciples wanted to be with Jesus to learn from him.
Vs. 39 They stayed with Jesus that day.
Vs. 40 One of these disciples was A________________ and his brother was S______________ P________________.
Vs. 41 He went to get his brother and brought him to Jesus. He said to Peter—”We have found the M_________________”
Vs. 42. So he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said you are Simon—-but you will be called ______________, Which means _____________________.
