Prophecy #20

Isaiah 53: 3-6 “He is despised and rejected of men;
A man of sorrows, and acquainted (knows) grief (sorrow):
And we hid as it were our faces from him;
And we esteemed (respected, honored) him not.

Surely he hath borne (carry) our griefs,
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we did esteem (think about) him stricken, smitten of God, afflicted. (beaten, hurt, troubles on him)

But he was wounded for our transgressions (sins)
He was bruised for our inquiries:
The chastisement (punishment) of our peace was upon him,
And with his stripes (marks of a beating) we are healed.

……….the Lord has laid on him the iniquity (sins) of us all.”

Luke 17:25 Jesus said of himself: “But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected (pushed away, not accepted) of this generation (group of people of this time).

John said about Jesus—”He came unto his own, and his own received him not.” John 1:11

(Jesus was a born by Jewish mother. He came unto the Jews to teach them and to be the promised Messiah (savior)—–but the Jewish people—most of them—did not believe Jesus was from God. Only a few believed in Jesus.)

In the end, the Jewish leaders talked the Roman rulers into crucifying Jesus.

(The Jewish leaders would have killed Jesus by themselves—but the Roman law did not allow them to kill someone.)

Prophecy #21

Jesus did not defend (speak up for ) himself.

When Jesus was taken before the Jewish leaders and before the Roman leader—- he was blamed of going against the government—–and other things—-all were false lies—-Jesus did not argue and defend himself—-he said nothing.

Isaiah 53:7 “He was oppressed and afflicted (men came against him to hurt him)—-yet, he opened not—his mouth, he was led like a sheep to the slaughter (to be killed), and as a sheep before her shearers (scissors to cut off the wool), he did not open his mouth.”

Matthew 27:12 “And when he was accused (blamed) of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.”

Luke 23:9 Herod, the Roman ruler—“Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.”

Also, Matthew 26:62, 63, Matthew 27:14 , Mark 14:61,
Mark 15:5, John 19:9

Prophecy #22

He would give his spirit into God’s hands.

Psalms 31:5 “Into your hands I commit (give) my spirit; redeem me, O Lord, the God of truth.”

Luke 23:46 “And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, he said, ‘Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit. And having said thus, he gave up the ghost (spirit.”

John 10:17- 18 Jesus said—“Therefore doth (does) my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might (may) take it up again.

No man taketh it from me,—-but I lay it down of myself.

I have the power to lay it down, and I have the power to take it again.”

(This is a very important verse !! Jesus had within himself the power of life.

No other man has ever had to power to bring himself back to life.

Some have taken their own life—-but they could not bring themselves back to life again.)

Acts 1:.3 Many people saw Jesus alive again. —–
“to whom he showed himself alive after his passion (death) by many infallible —-(completely true) proofs,

being seen of them forty days, —

and speaking of the things pertaining to (about) the kingdom of God.

Paul said in I Corinthians 15:6 “After that, he was seen of above
(more than ) 500 brethren at once; —-

of whom the greater part remain (are still alive) to this present (time)….”

Prophecy #23

Jesus would be buried with the rich.

Jesus was not a rich man.

He traveled around from city to city and stayed with people who invited him to stay overnight.

The only money he had was from offerings that people gave to him and his disciples. Judas kept the money for the group. The money was shared among the 12 disciples and Jesus.

Luke 8:3 “And Joanna, the wife of Chuza—Herod’s steward—and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance (of what they had).”

(This seems to say that they gave offerings of money to Jesus and his disciples. Perhaps they gave food, clothing and other things, also.)

Isaiah 53:9 “And he made his grave with the wicked (sinful), and with the rich…….”

Matthew 27:57-60 “When the even(ing) was come, there came a rich man ——-of Arimathaea, named Joseph, —–who also himself was Jesus’ disciple;

He went to Pilate (Roman ruler) and begged the body of Jesus,
Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
and laid it in his own new tomb,
which was hewn (cut) out in the rock:
and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre (grave) and departed.”
