I Corinthians     Chp 12    Vs 12-31

5335- Verse 12 Paul said—-The body has many
m________________ but is one body.

This is true of Christ. (Believers—there are many—are part of Christ—-as one body.)

5336. Verse 13 By one S________________ we are
b_________________ into one body.

It does not matter if we are J__________ or
G___________________.

It does not matter if we are
f___________ or b_____________ servants.—like slaves.

All believers are filled with the same Holy S___________.

5337. Verse 14 The body does not have just one member or part—it is many parts together to make one.

5338. Verse 15 If the f__________ would say, “I am not the h___________”, would it make it not part of the body?

5339. Verse 16 If the e_______ would say, “I am not the eye”—would it make it not part of the body?

5340. Verse 17 If the whole body was an e_____ how would be h_________? If the whole body was an e______, to hear—-how would s________________?

5341. Verse 18 God has made many “members”—parts to make a whole body.

5342. Verse 19 If there was only one member—then how would it be a body?

Verse 20 But there are many members—parts—-but it still makes one body.

Verse 21 The e______ can not say to the h________
“I have no need of you.” The h__________ can not say to the f___________ , “I have no need of you.”

Verse 22. Those members—parts that seem to be the weakest—-are very needed.

5343. Verse 23. Those members–parts that we think are less h____________________, we treat with much honor—care.

And uncomely parts—parts of the body that we keep covered or hidden—such as our private parts——but give them much care and protection.

Verse 24. The parts of the body —that we let others see—-do not need the same covering and care—-like our hands, feet, arms, or face.

Verse 24 God has made our body so that parts that we show others—are stronger and do not need as much care.

The parts we keep hidden—such as parts we need for the “bathroom” —-may not have much “honor” —-but they are very important parts and need to be protected and kept clean.

Verse 25. There is no division in the body—-some parts of the body take care of other parts of the body.
(The hands take care of all other parts of the body.)

5344. Verse 26. When one part of the body s____________
(in pain, hurt)—all the other parts of the body feel it also.

Verse 26 When one part of the body feels good —all the other parts feel good.

(Verse 25, 26—Paul is comparing a physical body to the church body of believers.

Meaning that if one member of the believers is suffering or having troubles—all the other members should feel sorrow and concern for their fellow believer.

And if one believer rejoices and is happy over good news—the other members should rejoice with him.

Verse 28. Now, you are all the “body” of Christ. Each one a member—different from another—like parts of a human body.

5345. Some of you have the gift to be a_______________.
Some have the gift to be p___________________.
Some have the gift to do m__________________.
Some have the gift to h_________________.
Some have the gift to h_________.
Some have the gift to be g__________________—meaning leaders to organize, to leaders of a group of people.
Some have the gift of speaking in a different t___________

5346. Verse 29 Are all of us a______________? No.

5347. Verse 30 Do we all have gifts to h_______________?
Do we all have gifts to speak in t________________?
Do we all have gifts to i__________________ tongues?

5348. Verse 31 We desire to have the best gifts.

Yet, I will show you what is the most important thing to have.
