I Corinthians Chp 11 Vs 1-16

5297. Vs. 1 Paul tells the believers at Corinth—-”be f_________________ of me, even as I am of __________________”.

5298. Vs. 2,3 Paul tells them to remember what he has taught them.
Then he says that “the _____________ of every man is
___________________, and the ________________ of every woman is ___________. And the head of ________________ is
_____________.

(In today’s America, many women have a hard time with this verse. They do not want to think of a “man” as their “head” and authority over them.

In America, women do have more freedom than in other countries.
Some women in America, are very much against a man being over them.

However, back in the Garden of Eden, Eve is the one who got women into trouble with this. God said then to her, “ in sorrow you shall bring forth children, and your desire shall be to your husband to rule over you.”

Men will be “in authority”. Women will have their influence to persuade men—-but the final say will be the men‘s.)

5299. Vs. 4 Paul speaks about how things are done in the churches. (This was the custom or the way things were done in his time.)
Every man who p______________ or p__________________, and has his ______________ covered—-He dishonors his “head“.

Remember, Paul said that Christ was the “head” of every man.
Meaning, “the one who is in charge, or the authority over”.

So if a man wears a head covering in church—he is not honoring Christ. That was their custom back then.

Today, Jewish men wear a small cap on their head when they pray or go to church.

5300. Vs. 5 Every woman who ________________ or _____________________ and does not cover her head—–she is not showing honor to her “head”—- her “head” is the man.
It is as if she shaved her head and had no hair.

5301. Vs. 6 If the woman does not ________________ her head, let her shave her head. If it is a shame to shave her head, then it is a shame to not cover her head in church.

Some churches today, in America and other countries—require a woman to cover her head when she goes into church.

5302. Vs. 7 Paul said, The man should not ______________ his head because he is the __________________ of ___________.
But the woman should _________________ her ______________
because she is the ________________ of _________________.

5303. Vs. 8 The man is not of the ____________________, but the woman is of the ___________________.

(This goes back to the Garden of Eden. Adam was put to sleep and a rib was taken to form the woman.)
5304. Vs. 9 Man was not ___________________ for the woman. But woman was ___________________ for the man.

5305. Vs. 10 This is the reason—the woman should cover her head—to show she is under the man’s authority. Because the _______________ are watching.

5306. Vs. 11-12 Paul said—the man is not without the woman—meaning—the man is not independent from the woman.

(The man needs the woman. He needs her for many reasons. The main reason would be to give birth to more men.)

And Paul said, the woman is not independent from the man.

The woman needs the man.)

Vs. 12 The woman is of the man,—-and the man is by the woman—–but all things are of _____________.

5307. Vs. 13 Judge this yourselves. Should a woman pray to God if she does not _______________ her head?

5308. Vs. 14 Does not nature teach you—-if a man has ___________ ______________ it is a shame unto him.

5309. Vs. 15 But if a woman has _____________ ________________ it is a ___________________ to her. It is given to her for a _____________________.

5310 Vs. 16 But is anyone does not agree with this—-if anyone wants to argue with this——we have no other custom—–this is the way we do things in all our churches.

(The way of doing things has changed in the churches of today, especially in America.)
