I Corinthians Chp 4    Vs 1-10

5179. Paul said that he and the other men with him were
m________________ of Christ, and s_________________
of the m__________________ of God.

5180. Paul said: It is required in s______________ that a man be found f_________________________.

(Here is a verse to give some thought to. A steward was a man who was in charge of the household or one part of a household or of the fields of crops.

He was like a foreman or overseer.

Paul said –The most important thing about a steward was that he be faithful.

The steward was there to make the household things go right—everything about running a house, family, food, etc.–he was to do it with the best benefit for the family.

Or if he was in charge of the fields, or animals, —he was to see that things were done to make a profit for the master.

A steward who did not do his job—was of no use. If he was lazy, if he cheated, if he stole things, —-if he was not faithful to do right—to the master’s profit—-he was of no use.

Paul said in other places in the Bible that we as Christians are “stewards” of the gospel—word of God.
As a Christian we are to live in a way that is without sin. We are to live in a way that shows we love God and follow his commands.

And we are to do what we can —-to tell others about Jesus and salvation.

“It is required of stewards that a man be found faithful.”

EVERY Christian can be faithful.

You do not have to be educated. Or smart. Even someone who is simple-minded can be faithful.

Being “faithful” means staying true to God. Not going away from what the Bible teaches. Keeping on the holy path.

Being faithful. Every person is able to be faithful.)

5181. Verse 3 (It seems that some of the people were saying critical things about Paul. Paul said—It is a small thing to me that men j________________ me.

I do not judge myself.

5182. Verse 4 (Last part of the verse.) It is the L__________ who j____________ me.

5183. Paul said—Do not judge things before t___________—–
until ________________________________.

He will bring to l________________ the hidden things of
d____________________.

He will show (make manifest) —the counsels (thoughts) of the h_________________.
And then every man shall have the p______________ of God.

5184. Verse 6 (It seems the Christian believers were arguing about who was the best or greatest—Paul or Apollo.

(They both had come to teach and preach to the believers there.)

Paul said there was no need to compare the two of them against each other.

Verse 7 Paul asked—Who makes you to be d________________ from another?

What do you have—that you did not r_________________ from someone else?

If you received it from someone —why should you take glory in it as though you did it by yourself?

5185. Verse 8 Now you are f_____________ . Now you are
r______________. You have been leaders as kings without us. (Paul says this in a sarcastic way.)

I wish you really did reign like a king. We could reign with you.

5186. Verse 9 Paul talks about being an apostle. He said it is like be appointed for (planned for) d__________________.

We (apostles) are made a s____________________. (An odd person to be looked at and made fun of or to be scorned.)

5187. Verse 10 We are f_______________ for Christ’s sake.

Paul said—(in a sarcastic way) You are w_____________.
We are w________________, you are s_________________.
You are h___________________, but we are d____________________ (hated).
