Romans     Chapter 8      Verses 15-28

4940. Verse 15 Paul said, You have not received the Spirit of bondage to f____________. You have received the Spirit of a_________________________. (We have been adopted into God’s family.)

We can say, Abba, Father. We can call God, Father.

4941. Verse 16 The Spirit itself is a w_______________ with our s__________________—that we are the c_____________________ of God.

4942. Verse 17 If we are children, then we are h______________ of God.

An “heir” is a person who receives money, houses, other things, from a family member.

4943. We are j________-heirs with Christ—we are joined with Christ as a family member—as Christ receives from his Father—we are family, too,—so we received from the Father, too.

4944. If we are joined with Christ as a family member—we will also have to s__________________ with him. Later, we will receive glory with him.

4945. Verse 18 Paul said, The s__________________ that we have here on earth—can not be compared to the g______________ we will receive later—or the glory that we will bring to the Father.

4946. Verse 19 We are created beings, and we w_________ for the time when we will see ourselves as Sons of God in heaven.

4947. Verse 20 As created beings— we are limited. We have the curse of sin upon us. God gives us h__________ that someday we will be free from sin’s curse.

Verse 21 We will be delivered and made free from the bondage of our flesh bodies that are dying. We will move into the wonderful glory of freedom (with new bodies) of the children of God.

Verse 22 All created beings—people and animals—have pain and sorrow—because of sin in the world.

4948. Verse 23 We are waiting for our resurrection. We g__________ in pain and sorrow—waiting for our new body.

4949. Verse 24 We are saved by h_________. If the thing we hope for is s____________—there is no more reason to hope for it—because it has come to be real.

4950. Verse 25 If what we hope for—we have not yet s__________—then we still hope for it. With p_______________ we w____________ for it.

4951. Verse 26 The Spirit helps us. We do not know how to p_________–or what to pray for. In our flesh bodies, we are limited.

4952. But the S_______________ knows what we should pray for—and how to pray.

4953. The Spirit prays through us. Sometimes we do not have words to say—we just g_____________ in pain and sorrow—not knowing what to say.

But the Spirit uses our groaning to pray to the Father—He understands our need.
