Romans         Chapter 8     Verses 1-14

4926. Copy verse 1. This is a good verse to memorize.

Satan will always bring thoughts to our mind to try to “condemn” us—-to blame us—-to remind us of pass sins.

God’s forgiveness removes the sin from us. He does not bring it up to us again—-it is gone.

We remember—-but God has put away that sin—– “as far as the east is from the west” Psalms 103:12 —Isaiah 1: 18—-Micah 7:19

If thoughts come to you about past sins—to blame you and to make you feel bad—-it is not God who is bringing it up—it is Satan—-trying to discourage you.

Another thought in this verse—-we walk not after the flesh, but we walk after the Spirit.

This is important !! We need to keep ourselves free from sin. Do not walk after the flesh—-sinful desires—–but walk after the Spirit—walk following the teachings of Christ.

4927. Vs. 2 The law of the Spirit of life—in Christ Jesus–made me f___________ from the law of s_________ and death.

4928. Vs. 3 For what the law could not do—because it was weak——through the f____________—-meaning—–man’s weakness to keep the law in his own human strength—–to fight against the desires of the flesh

When God sent his son in human flesh —-Jesus died for sin—-and condemned sin in the flesh.

4929. Vs. 4 So that the righteousness that the law was suppose to bring in man—-might happen in us. For those who walk not after the f________________ but who walk after the s_____________.

4930. Vs. 5 People who are after the f____________ obey and do the things of the flesh.
But those who are after the S______________ obey and do the things of the Spirit.

(Carnal—-having to do with needs and desire of the body)

4932. Vs. 7 Because the c_________________ is an enemy of God. It does not submit or obey the law of God.

in you. If a person does not have the Spirit of God in them, they do not belong to Him.
