Acts Chapter 27 Verses 1-25

4645. Verse 1 The time has come for Paul to go to Rome to stand in the court of Caesar.

Verse 11 But the Roman guard over the prisoners listened to the sailors more than to Paul. They decided to go on.

They tried to stay close to land as they went.

Verse 13 When a soft wind began blowing from the south, the sailors thought they would make it to that place.

Verse 16-17 They sailed behind a small island. The sailors worked hard to save the ship. They were afraid it would run aground and it would break the ship apart.

Verse 18 The ship was being tossed around by the waves and the sailors threw cargo over to make the ship lighter.

Verse 19 The next day they threw out the ship’s equipment.

Verse 20 The sky was dark with clouds—they did not see the sun or stars. They were being to lose hope that they could save the ship or even save themselves.
