St. John 16 Vs. 1-33

3890. Vs. 1  Jesus told the disciples to not be “offended” when these things happened to them.

“Offended” meant to be upset, discouraged, feel hurt,  to give up the faith because of trouble.

3891. Vs. 2 Jesus said they will put you out of the ______________________

3892. They will __________ you and they will think they are serving God to do it.

3893. Vs. 3 They will do this because they have not ________________ the ___________________, nor Jesus.

3894. Vs. 4, 5 When these things happen to you—remember that I told you they would happen. I did not tell you about this at first because I was still with you, But now—I will _________________

Vs. 17-19 The disciples did not understand what that meant.

Vs. 20 Jesus said, You will be sorry and sad that I go, the world will be happy to see me gone. Your sorrow will be turned into joy.

Vs. 21 When a woman gives birth, the pain is very sorrowful. But as soon as the baby is born, she forgets the pain and is happy to see her baby.

Now you will have sorrow in this world, but I will see you again.

And you will be happy, and no one will be able to take away your joy.

3902. Vs 23 What ever you ask the _________________ in my _________________ he will give it to you.
