Steps of Faith for the Deaf

20119

Hello,

In this month of February, we think of Valentine’s Day and hearts. The Bible talks a lot about hearts.

“Keep your heart with all carefulness, because the attitude of you heart affects everything that you do.” Proverbs 4:23

What you really think—-deep in your heart—will come out in everything that you do and say.

You can hide what you really think—for awhile—but it will begin to show.

You may be able to hide what you think from some people—for awhile—but in the end—it will come out.

Hiding anger, hiding jealousy, hiding secrets, hiding sins—–you can not do it forever—-it will come out.

Even as you are trying to hide it—your attitude will color what you do and say.

You can not hide secret sins from God. You may be able to hide them from others for awhile.

It is best to keep your heart clean of bad attitudes, and sins. Keep your heart open and clean before God.

Keep your relationship with others open and clean.

If you have things you have been hiding in your heart—tell the Lord—ask Him to help you change your thinking. Ask Him to help you be honest with others.

If you have anger—ask the Lord to help you.—either to give up the anger and look at things differently— or to talk with that person about how you feel.

Confess your sins to God. Stop doing the sin.

Hiding things in our hearts is not the best way to take care of a problem.

Hiding things inside have a way of growing bigger, and bigger inside. It can make you depressed in feeling—- or bitter and angry in your personality.

Keep your heart carefully. It affects everything you do.

I’ll close for now.       I’ll write again.                                  Sincerely, Joyce Webb
