Hello,
“The children of Judah prevailed (won, were successful) because they relied (depended) on the Lord God of their fathers.” II Chronicles 14:18
We learn to depend on many things.
We depend on having a job, having money, having health.
We depend on people to help us in various ways.
We depend on people for relationships and friendships.
We depend on our church.
We depend on our government.
Sometimes these things fail us. We lose our job and money.
We lose our health.
We lose husbands, wives, children, parents, friends.
Our church changes and we do not feel like we belong any more.
The government makes bad choices and causes problems for us.
God is always the same. God is never short of money or power. God can fill the empty places in our heart.
We can depend on God.
The people of Judah depended on God and they prevailed (won).
God is still the same today.
Nothing on earth can shake God’s ability to help.
He does wait for us to trust Him and to stay in a place of trusting. Don’t move from the trusting place.
God will help you to succeed and overcome the problems.
Good-bye for now. I’ll write again. Sincerely, Joyce Webb
