Steps of Faith for the Deaf

Hello,

Here are some verses from Psalms to make as a daily prayer.

“ Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.” Psalms 17:5

In other words, “Keep me as I go in your paths, so that my footsteps do not slip.”

“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.”

Psalms 119:133

In other words, “Plan my steps in thy word and do not let any sin have control over me.”

We are weak. We are easily tempted to do wrong. We like pleasure and what pleases us. We do not like hard things.

And so we pray, Lord, you know how we are. Watch over us. See where we go and what we say and what we think. Speak to our spirit to keep in in the right path.

Do what you need to do to keep us from getting into sinful things.

The Holy Spirit is our guide and teacher. If we get off the right path, the Holy Spirit will speak to us to warn us to stop and get back to the right path.

He will not force us and make us do it. But he will warn us that we are going wrong. We must choose to go back to the right way.

The Devil may tempt you to do wrong and sin, but you can choose. You can choose to do wrong or you can choose to do right.

Make a decision in your heart and mind that you will obey and submit to the Lord’s way and you will obey the Holy Spirit when he speaks to you.

Good=bye for now.   I’ll write again.                           Sincerely, Joyce Webb
