There is Only One God
Joyce Webb 2010
Here are some verses that tell us that God in heaven is the only true God.
Exodus 20: 3,4,5
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shat not make unto thee any graven image.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord am a jealous God.
(This means God wants us to love him only—-like a husband would be jealous and want his wife to love him only.)
Deuteronomy 4: 35 ……that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him.
Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me.
I Samuel 2:2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee (you):
Isaiah 43: 10 Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Isaiah 43: 11 I am the Lord and beside me there is no saviour.
Isaiah 44: 6 I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Isaiah 44:8 Is there a God beside me? Yea, (yes) there is no God; I know not any.
Isaiah 45: 5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:
Isaiah 45: 6 there is none beside me. I am the Lore, and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:18 I am the Lord; and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:21 …..and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me.
Isaiah 45: 22 Look unto me, and be ye (you) saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:23 …….That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear (confess).
Mark 12: 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven whereby we must be saved.
Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith (says) the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
I Corinthians 8: 4 …….and that there is none other God but one.
Philippians 2:10, 11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in the earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
I Timothy 2: 5, 6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all…
( The word mediator means one who goes between two people to speak for them—-like a lawyer speaks for a person to the judge. Jesus speaks for us to God the Father and says that because we have trusted in Jesus’ blood to wash away our sins, the Father should forgive us.)
