Chapter 16
Verse 1, 2
Paul says:
I recommend to you —–Phebe, our sister in Christ, who is at Cenchrea.
Receive her, as she is a beleiver, and a sister in the Lord—–do this in a way that Christians should do.
Help her in whatever way she needs.
She has been a help and comfort to many people. She has helped me, also.
Verse 3
Give greetings (say Hello) to Priscilla and Aquila who have been my helpers.

The churches of Christ also send you greetings.
Verse 17
Now I ask you, brothers in Christ, to take notice of those people who try to cause trouble and arguments among the believers.
These people are teaching things that are different and not correct.
The things they teach is not—- what we taught you.
Stay away from them.
Verse 18
They are not serving our Lord Jesus Christ. They are serving themselves. They use words and make speeches that deceive people—-people who do not know the scriptures very well, believe what they say.
Verse 19
Many have heard of how your group has been faithful to obey Christ’s teachings.
I am glad for you.
Be open and wise to that which is good.
Stay away from that which is evil.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Tertius says: I send my greetings.
Verse 23
Gaius, the person I am staying with now, —-and the whole church—that meets in his home— sends you greetings.
Erastus, the city treasurer and Quartus, a brother also send greetings.
Verse 24
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Verse 25
We give you into the care of God who has the power to make you strong in the things of the gospel that I taught you.
You Gentiles were part of God’s plan for salvation.
This was not understood by the Jews for many, many years—but now we know it was God’s plan all along.
Verse 26
We see and understand this—- from the things the prophets wrote—–as God gave them the words.
This message is going out to Gentiles and people everywhere, so that people in all nations can come to believe and have faith— and obey Christ.
Verse 27
To God who alone is wise, be glory, through Jesus Christ, forever, Amen.
