Book #2—-Revelation Chp. 19

Chapter 19

Verses 1-6       Read the Bible verses.

There is praise in heaven because justice has been done to this world system.

Verses 7- 9 Read the Bible verses.

The marriage supper of the Lamb has come and His bride (the true believers) has made herself ready.

This verse seems to show that the marriage supper of the Lamb takes place at this time. It happens before Jesus comes back to earth to fight in the battle at Armageddon.

In I Thessalonians Chp. 4 and 5 it tells of the “rapture” the catching away of believers into heaven.

As we have read in Revelation there have been verses that spoke of people who were believers during the tribulation because they were killed by the Anti-Christ. In Rev.6:9-11, Rev. 7:14 there are some who come out of the tribulation. These people will also be part of the “marriage supper of the Lamb”.

When all the believers have been gathered into heaven, the “marriage supper of the Lamb” happens.

They are given the white robes of righteousness.

Verse 10 Read the Bible verse.

John fell at the feet of the angel and started to worship, but the angel stopped him. The angel said that only God is to be worshipped, not angels.

Verses 11- 16 Read the Bible verse

John saw heaven open and saw a white horse and on the white horse was Jesus. His name was “Faithful and true”. He judges and makes war.

His eyes are a flame of fire. On his head are many crowns. He has a name written upon Him which only He knows. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood and his name is called, “The Word of God”. (John 1:1,14; I John1:1)

Following him were “armies” dressed in white robes, riding on white horses. Rev. 17:14 says that “they that are with him (the Lamb) are called and chosen and faithful”. This means believers. So the believers are coming with him as an army.

Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword, with it he will conquer (overcome) the nations and rule over them. His anger will bring judgment on those on earth.

On his robe and on his thigh is a name written, “King of Kings, and Lord of Lords”.

Verses 17-21 Read the Bible verses.

An angel calls all the birds of prey to come for a feast.

The kings of the earth and their armies were gathered for war with the One who sat on the horse and his army.

The beast (Anti-Christ) was taken and the False Prophet (his second ruler/helper)–both were thrown into the Lake of Fire.

The rest of his armies were killed.

The birds ate the bodies.
