Vs. 18 - 28 Tells the same things again. God is telling Moses what the people need to do in the future. This meal of lamb is to be done every year to remember what happened in Egypt.
Vs. 22 Has an important rule, the people had to stay in the house all night, they were not to go out of the house until __________________.
This rule has an important spiritual meaning. We have to stay "in the house" "under the blood" to be saved from the one who will bring death.
Spiritually, this means for our spirit/soul to be saved from spiritual death, we need to stay with God, under His care, under the blood of Jesus.
If any of those Hebrews had gone out of the house, they would have been in danger of death.
Spiritually, if we take ourselves out of God's care, and go back to sinful living----and we do not stay under Jesus' blood to forgive---we are in danger of spiritual death. To be saved eternally, we have to stay with Jesus/ God.
257. Vs. 37 How many Hebrew people left Egypt?
Vs. 38 A "mixed" group of people went out of Egypt. This means that there were other people with the group----they were not all Hebrew people.
Later verses----tell us that Egyptians and others joined with the Hebrews when they left.
