There is Only One God

There is Only One God

Joyce Webb 2010

Here are some verses that tell us that God in heaven is the only true God.

I Corinthians 8: 4 …….and that there is none other God but one.

Deuteronomy 4: 35 ……that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him.

Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me.

Isaiah 45: 5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:

Isaiah 45:18 I am the Lord; and there is none else.

Isaiah 45: 18 I am the Lord; and there is none else.

Isaiah 45:21 …..and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me.

Isaiah 45: 22 Look unto me, and be ye (you) saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Isaiah 44:8 Is there a God beside me? Yea, (yes) there is no God; I know not any.

Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel , and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Isaiah 44:10 (last part of verse) before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isaiah 44:11 I, even I, am the Lord, and beside me there is no saviour.

Isaiah 42:8 I the Lord: that is my name; and my glory I will not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Deuteronomy 4:35 Unto thee (you) it was shown, that thou (you) might (would) know that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him.

I Samuel 2:2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee (you):

Isaiah 45:5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:

Isaiah 46: 9 for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.

Isaiah 48: 12 I am he; I am the first, I am also the last.

Mark 12: 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

Isaiah 45:23 …….That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear (confess).

Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith (says) the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Philippians 2:10, 11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in the earth, and things under the earth;

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Exodus 20: 3,4,5

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Thou shat not make unto thee any graven image.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord am a jealous God. (This means God wants us to love him only----like a husband would be jealous and want his wife to love him only.)

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven whereby we must be saved.

I Timothy 2: 5, 6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all…

( The word mediator means one who goes between two people to speak for them----like a lawyer speaks for a person to the judge. Jesus speaks for us to God the Father and says that because we have trusted in Jesus’ blood to wash away our sins, the Father should forgive us.)
